ZZ Top The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Concert reviews
Some good, some... not so much
Mandisa was amazing - nice to see her back on the tour circuit. There were 7 other groups, some were simply not my style. Toby was great. The concert lasted close to 4 hours - you really got your money's worth. Some were unnecessarily over-amplified, like Capital Kings, and hyper bass boosted. Mack Powell was great - he played some country style music he's been writing, which fits perfectly with his vocal style. Matt Maher is always spot on, unfortunately, the audio technician over-amplified him at times too - that tech should find a new career. Toby was great, he had 1 or 2 numbers which I didn't care for, in the style of Capital Kings, but overall I was pleasantly surprised.
